Manila to Pagudpud Biketour 2023

Finally. Half of my North Luzon Loop project is done.

I didn’t manage to push farther into the Cagayan Valley this time—mostly because of time constraints. Planning a tour like this while working isn’t easy, especially when you’re limited by how many days you can take off. That’s why I scheduled this ride during Holy Week, stretching every available leave as far as I could 😄.

Even so, the experience felt surreal. Days of riding alone gave the journey a different rhythm—quiet, deliberate, and deeply personal. With no schedule to chase and no one to keep pace with, it became easier to listen to the road, to my body, and to my thoughts. Solitary riding, for me, has always been the purest form of touring.

Completing only half of the loop might sound unfinished on paper, but it doesn’t feel that way. This leg was a checkpoint—a confirmation that the project is possible, sustainable, and worth finishing. The remaining half isn’t a question of if anymore, but when.

For now, I’ll let this chapter settle. The road north is still waiting, and when the time comes, I’ll be ready to complete the loop.

Here are some of the photos that I have taken

I don’t really have much to say this time—but that’s okay. The journey speaks for itself.

What I do have is the unabridged footage of the entire ride, made possible thanks to cloud storage 😄. Whenever I had an internet connection, I’d dump everything online—no filtering, no highlights—just the raw road as it happened.

Sometimes words get in the way. This time, I’ll let the ride do the talking.
