Manila to Aurora Dingalan 2024
This was our last bike tour of 2024, and somehow I almost forgot that the previous long tour before this was the ride to Matnog. The gaps between bike tours keep getting longer every year—clearly a sign that 2025 needs more saddle time.
I’d already done a couple of rides to Dingalan, so I thought I had the route mostly figured out. Same roads, same climbs, same challenges… or so I believed. I even posted a Cabanatuan–Dingalan ride before—except this time, we made things more interesting by starting from Manila, right at EDSA. Because why not add traffic and confusion right at the beginning? 😄
Most of the story is better told in the documented YouTube video below, but there’s one detail that makes this tour unforgettable: we got lost. Not “slightly off route” lost—more like “are we even going the right way?” lost. All in the name of chasing a waterfall that seemed determined to stay hidden.
In the end, we didn’t just ride for the destination. We rode for wrong turns, questionable navigation choices, and the kind of chaos that only shows up when you think you know the route. Frustrating in the moment, hilarious in hindsight—and exactly the kind of story that makes bike tours worth remembering.
