Getting back on track

It's been a while since I last shared my adventures on my blog, but my passion for bike touring has been rekindled lately. As I mentioned, my last ride in Sta Maria was a great start, but it didn't quite recapture the excitement and joy I once felt.

I began to reflect on what was missing, and I realized that perhaps I'd been putting too much pressure on myself. I was focusing on the destination rather than the journey, constantly thinking about the distance I needed to cover or the vlog I had to create. It was like I'd forgotten the simple pleasure of pedaling, the wind in my hair, and the freedom of the open road.

So, I decided to strip away the expectations and just ride for the sake of riding. No targets, no timetables, no cameras. Just my son, our bikes, and the scenic MOA Loop route we know so well. We pedaled at our own pace, taking in the sights and sounds around us, and enjoyed each other's company. No need to prove anything or achieve a specific goal. We were simply riders, savoring the moment.

I'd like to share this liberating experience with you, and I hope it inspires you to do the same. Sometimes, it's necessary to go back to basics, to remember why we started doing something in the first place.
